We visit southeast Sweden, an untouristic area, with the little town Vastervik and the archipelago of about 5000 islets, which offers a diverse range of natural landscapes and many Outdoor opportunities. Vastervik, our base, is a picturesque coastal town, renowned for its rich history, stunning natural landscapes and a vibrant cultural scene. We’ll also visit Hasselö, the largest islet for a bike tour and one of the smallest islets, Idö for a day hike. Don’t forget to try a Swedisch cinnamon roll (Kanelbulle) or a paradise cake! Our base will be a well organised Camping resort (or similar) close to the beach with many facilites. We then take the train to Stockholm and a ferry to Helsinki. An amazing way to see the Swedish archipelago and arrive in Helsinki, which has a totally different flair.
1 Day Stockholm

2 Day train to Västervik and free day
we take the train today from Stockholm to Västervik and have time to visit the small town, a picturesque, lively old timber town wit cobbled streets, many nice shops and coffee places . You shouldn’t miss to try a Kanelbulle or paradise cake in Bageri 96′, a charming bakery, or a coffee at the stylish coffee bar Café Kannan
4 overnights in Västervik resort or similar
3 Day kayaking from resort
Today we wil take kayaks and visit the archipelago with loads of little islets and beaches . So many nice places to stop and have our fika (swedish pick nick) or jump into the refreshing waters!
4 Day Hasselo bike trip
From Västervik with the ferry we’ll reach Hasselo in about 50 min. Hasselö doesn’t have any cars and together with Sladö is only 9km long. There are simple bikes to rent and it is absolutely the best way (and easy, as all flat) to visit the island. If you are brave enough you can also jump into the sea, otherwise we’ll just enjoy our lunch in one of the little restaurants or coffee places.
5 Day Hike on the small islet Idö
Today we take our backpag and visit one of the smallest islets in the Tjust archipelago. This slow, pretty island is rich in its historical roots and perfect for walking. We will pass through a forest to a picturesque fishing village, find nice swimming spots and stop for lunch in the only restaurant.
6 Day overnight ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki
in the morning we take the train to Stockholm and continue in the afternoon by ferry to Helsinki. It is not just a ferry ride, it is a whole experience! Passing the wonderful archipelago of Stockholm and independent Åland Islands it feels like being on a cruise. You might want to enjoy a typical finish long drink on the boat or listen to some life music whilst watching the scenery.

7 Day arrival in Helsinki
early morning we arrive in Finland and have the whole day to visit Helsinki, which has a different feeling to Sweden. Participate in a public sauna, visit different finish designer shops, museums or just enjoy a delicious coffee in one of many coffee places and have a salmon soup at the market. Or take a short ferry ride to the Fort island Suomenlinna
